Ruby Pier 04:32
Ruby Pier Mr. Blue, I never meant to hurt you. I remember standing there in my suit, eight years today and I didn’t even know you. And at first, I couldn’t open my mouth to speak but you had enough words for you and me, you told me our lives ran into one: present, future, history. Ruby Pier will welcome you with open arms, as her waves climb the shore and you can see your reflection. She starts to charm you with her charms as you realise her tainted perfection. The fading light fades, the final curtain call comes to a close. Lost in her gaze, footprints of so many people but you’re the one she knows. Why did you hurt me? I’ve spent all my life with this pain; it’s lucky I could even walk again. You were there to protect me and all in vain. My second lesson – after you taught me how to kill and fight – you said I should have learnt to sacrifice, then maybe I would have lived right. Ruby Pier will welcome you with open arms, as her waves climb the shore and you can see your reflection. She starts to charm you with her charms as you realise her tainted perfection. You were so beautiful; you were so beautiful, so why did you leave me? You were so beautiful; you were so beautiful, so why did you leave me? “For the bitter and the sweet” that’s what you said to me, you left me too soon. You were so beautiful, you were so beautiful. Little girl, I shouldn’t be forgiven but you said I’ve done good for you and everything is OK. Ruby had a great-grandson whose key cut the cable that killed Eddie Maintenance – this was his story. He saved Amy or Annie, whatever her name was. Goodbye Eddie Maintenance, whatever your name was. Goodbye Eddie Maintenance, whatever your name was.

Notion 04:34
Notion Where are we going, where are we going tonight? Where are we going, where are we going tonight? I don’t see the point of living without surprise, but I know you can’t see how to live if you can’t see the other side. And you don’t like the way they treat you, the names they give you is what you cling to. All you feel inside is you’re going to be empty if you can’t decide what lies within you. Is it written out or do we have the power to decide who we’re going to be tonight. Is it written out, do the stars stretch out and light the way above us and take us home tonight? Will you take me home tonight? Nothing feels as good as an open road with no direction and nothing feels as hopeful as staring at yourself with no reflection and no expectation. Is it written out or do we have the power to decide who we’re going to be tonight. Is it written out, do the stars stretch out and light the way above us and take us home tonight? Will you take me home tonight? Please tell me we’ll break this notion of destiny, we’ll break this notion of destiny. Let’s break this notion of destiny. Please help me to break this notion of destiny. Don’t leave me here with nothing else. Is it written out or do we have the power to decide who we’re going to be tonight? Is it written out, do the stars stretch out and light the way above us and take us home tonight? Will you take me home tonight?

So, the second pocket is here, and the last year has been completely mental! I would like to thank everyone who has supported me throughout and stuck around to hear this next instalment, it really means a lot that you are still interested! And for all the new listeners and fans out there, there is so much more to come!
A massive thanks go to Dan Argyle for the artwork, my parents for ringing and chasing up various companies along the way, the guys at Calder Recordings for fitting me in, and my friends for keeping me sane!
