Give me nights by the ocean, I’ll swing from the gallows – you cut through my heart with your razor-sharp arrows.
When you fall asleep, nightmare/dreams by the fire, I’ll sit counting sheep til you wake.
And oxygen tanks fill the room in my mind’s eye, I keep drawing blanks but the bullets, they fly by.
So sit with me here cutting shapes out of paper and never learn from our mistakes.
